GPRS or General Packet Radio Services is a more advanced way to get Internet content on your mobile phone that’s both faster and more affordable. It surpasses the previous generation of mobile Internet technology mainly because it allows you to be connected to the Internet all the time at a connection speed of 115kbps. This enables you to enjoy better applications graphically in full colour, complete with animation and sound. GPRS is also more affordable as the charges are based on the amount of data transferred over the Internet (cost per kb) rather than the amount of time spent online (cost per minute).
